The mission of Kabod House International is to provide tools and resources that will eradicate poverty and enrich the lives of the homeless /unhoused living on the streets in the Chicagoland area.
Our vision is a world where everyone’s basic needs are met and poverty is a memory of the past.
Kabod House International’s Homeless Outreach Services Program (our HOSPitality Program) will serve the homeless living on the streets in Chicago by filling gaps in services that are needed to give them hope and dignity. We will provide needed services to the homeless and connect them with resources that will help to improve their lives.
Kabod House International offers outreach programs that will inspire hope to those who have lost hope, and help those who are helpless and disadvantaged. Our outreach programs focus on meeting basic needs and more, by helping those who are not able to sustain themselves.
Roberta M. Coleman is the Founder/President/CEO/ED of Kabod House International. Her passion and heart are for the homeless/unhoused.
Her vision for Kabod House International is to become a trailblazing organization that offers unique and needed outreach services to the homeless population in the Chicagoland area. The programs include delivering purses filled with feminine hygiene personal care products to homeless women, backpacks filled with personal hygiene products to homeless men, Winter coats and toys for homeless and foster care children at a local elementary school partner. She believes that helping the homeless by giving them what they need instead of what we may think they need can help to bring them hope and let them know that they are thought of and not just as a statistic. She is quoted as saying, "The homeless need more than just a handout, they need a hand to pull them up and out." She wants the homeless/unhoused to know there is an organization that cares enough about helping them by bringing services with a smile right to them.
Kabod House International plans to offer outreach services to the homeless/unhoused that will include shower services, laundry services, food distribution services, medical services, and case management services to the homeless who are living on the streets.
Roberta is a graduate from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors's degree in Human Services and is currently completing her MBA degree in Nonprofit Management at National Louis University.
